Nouméa, South Province, New Caledonia: French Navy oceanic patrol ship D'Entrecasteaux (A621), moored by the Maritime Museum - first vessel of its class (named after the French navigator Antoine Bruny d'Entrecasteaux), an overseas support and assistance vessel (BSAOM), aka multi-mission vessel (B2M), designed to perform sovereignty, law enforcement and logistics missions - developed and produced by Kership, built at the Piriou shipyard in Concarneau. The d'Entrecasteaux class vessels can be armed with two 12.7x99 mm (.50 cal.) machine guns.

The Maldivian Coast Guard is the naval or maritime arm of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). As the Maldives does not have a navy, the Coast Guard also functions as such.
