The most common materials used for boarding up are Plywood, OSB (Oriented Strand Board), and MDF. These protective measures are temporary and are installed a few days before the carnival and removed shortly after. \n\nThis practice is common among local shops and residents due to the large crowds and celebratory atmosphere that can sometimes lead to vandalism or property damage.
