Padova, Italy - October 7,2018: Statues before the church of Santa Giustina. It is the largest square in Italy, and one of the largest in Europe. Today, the square is a large space with a green island at the center, l'Isola Memmia, surrounded by a small canal bordered by two rings of statues.

A textured and detailed view of the stunning and majestic frescoed dome of the church of Sant'Agnese in Agone (Saint Agnes) in Piazza Navona, in the historic heart of Rome. This beautiful church, considered an absolute masterpiece of Roman Baroque architecture, according to tradition was built on the site of the martyrdom of Saint Agnes, which took place under the power of Emperor Diocletian in 305 AD. This church with a Greek cross plan is the work of the architects Carlo Rainaldi (1611-1691) and Francesco Borromini (1599-1667), was built between 1652 and 1672 at the request of Pope Innocent X. The marvelous frescoes in the dome are the work of Roman Baroque artist Ciro Ferri (1634–1689). The church dominates the famous Piazza Navona, in the Rione Parione, one of the most beautiful and visited districts of Rome for the presence of countless artistic and historical treasures, monuments and ancient Romanesque and Baroque churches, but also for its squares and alleys to be explored freely, where it is easy to find typical restaurants, small artisan shops, street artists, and the original Roman soul. In 1980 the historic center of Rome was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Super wide angle and high definition image.

An extraterritorial property of the Vatican, it is one of the city’s four major basilicas and has one of the best preserved Byzantine interiors in Rome

A suggestive perspective of the rear side of the Tempietto in the courtyard of the church of San Pietro in Montorio, located on the Janiculum hill in the historic district of Trastevere, in the heart of Rome. Built in 1510 by the architect Donato Bramante, the Tempietto (Small Temple) is considered a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture, with the search for a perfect balance of shapes and volumes. The circular plan and the relationship between the dome and the colonnade recalls the classical values of Roman architecture, such as the famous Temple of Vesta located in the Roman Forum. According to tradition, the Tempietto was built to celebrate the martyrdom of St. Peter, which supposedly took place on the Janiculum.
