San Carlos, East Falkland, Falkland Islands: Blue Beach Military Cemetery, a British war cemetery holding the remains of 14 of the 255 British casualties killed during the War in 1982, and one other killed in 1984. It is situated close to where 3 Commando Brigade had its initial headquarters after landing on 21 May 1982. The cemetery is enclosed by a stone wall, evoking a Falkland Islands traditional stone sheep corral.

Hamilton, Bermuda- September 8, 2023: Royal Naval Dockyard was once Britain's largest naval base outside the United Kingdom. Built in 1809, played a role in the defense of the Atlantic Ocean. The fort consisted of eight buildings and the commissioner's house. The historical buildings are largely abandoned.

German bunkers of Atlantic Wall and artillery battery at Longues sur Mer, Normandy, France. The battery at Longues is situated between Omaha Beach and Arromanches. It formed a part of Germany's Atlantic Wall coastal fortifications. The bunkers and guns are some of the very few German World War II bunker that saw action during the D-day. They are also among the very few bunkers which still have some of their guns in position.

Normandy, France, September 02, 2019: Looking at a 150mm canon of the Longues-sur-Mer artillery battery wich was constructed during the World War II by germans army near the french village of Longues-sur-Mer. The battery was sited on a 60 m (200 ft) cliff overlooking the north sea and formed a part of Germany's Atlantic Wall coastal fortifications. But it couldn´t prevent the Allied landing beaches of Gold and Omaha and shelled both beaches on D-Day (6 June 1944).

The lighthouse at Old Hunstanton, Norfolk, seen through the ruins of St Edmund’s Chapel on the cliffs. The lighthouse was built around 1840, on the site of a much older lighthouse structure which contained the world’s first parabolic reflector. The present building stopped operating as a lighthouse in 1921 and is currently used as holiday accommodation. St Edmund’s Chapel dates back to 1272.

Old WW2 gun placement at Culver Battery with view of the cliffs at Shanklin in the background. Culver Battery is a former coastal artillery defence on Culver Down, on the eastern side of the Isle of Wight. The fortification is one of several Palmerston Forts built on the island following concerns about the size and strength of the French Navy in the late 19th century. It was built between 1904-1906 and was operational during the First and Second World Wars. The battery was closed and abandoned in 1956 and is now freely open to the public to walk around and climb on with great views over The Solent and English channel.
