Luxembourg City, Luxembourg - July 8, 2018: This photograph captures a historic plaque mounted on the stone walls of Pont Adolphe (Adolphe Bridge) in Luxembourg City. The plaque commemorates the construction of the bridge between 1900 and 1903, crediting its design to the French engineer Paul Séjourné and its realization by Albert Rodange. The bronze plaque, weathered with age, is framed in a greenish patina, contrasting against the textured, beige stone wall behind it. The inscription is in French, paying homage to the bridge's significance as a symbol of Luxembourg's architectural heritage.
Santa Fe, NM: A memorial plaque on the wall of the St Francis Cathedral in downtown Santa Fe. The Cathedral, a block from the historic Santa Fe Plaza in New Mexico, was built by Archbishop Lamy in 1886 in the Romanesque Revival style.
A time capsule was buried at the location, with plans to be reopened in 50 years, when Nevadans will be celebrating the state’s bicentennial. The capsule is buried on a pathway connecting the Springs Preserve with the Nevada State Museum. This column marks the fire of 1666 and was completed in 1677 by Christopher Wren and Robert Hooke. It is 202 feet (62 metres) high, the same distance to Pudding Lane where the fire began. This pillar was commenced during the mayoralty of Sir Richard Ford, Knight, Lord Mayor of London, in the year 1671. It was further elevated under the mayoralties of Sir George Waterman, Knight, Sir Robert Hanson, Knight, Sir William Hooker, Knight, Sir Robert Viner, Knight, and Sir Joseph Sheldon, Knight; and completed during the mayoralty of Sir Thomas Davies, in 1677.
