The remains of the temple of Portico D'Ottavia in the heart of the Jewish Quarter (Roman Ghetto), near the archeological area of the Theatre of Marcellus. According to tradition and some archaeological remains of Ancient Rome this area was occupied by a fish market. The iconic Jewish Quarter of Rome, the oldest ghetto in Europe, is famous for the presence of hidden alleys and small squares, where it is easy to find small restaurants of Italian and Jewish cuisine, and remarkable Roman archaeological remains. The ghetto of Rome is located in one of the oldest districts of the Eternal City, located between the Campidoglio (Roman Capitol) and the Tiber river.
