Myosotis, commonly called ‘Forget-me-nots”, is a genus of flowering plant in the family Boraginaceae and produces clusters of tiny blue, pink or white flowers. It is in bloom from late March to early June in the temperate zone.

Very variable, low to short, softly hairy annual or biennial , branched at the base. Basal leaves in a lax rosette, elliptical, broadest above the middle, scarcely stalked; stem leaves lanceolate, pointed. Flowers bright gray-blue, saucer shaped, 3-5mm; calyx closed in fruit, the tube with numerous hooked hairs. Nutlets dark brownish-black.\nHabitat: Dry places, arable soils, dunes, to 2000m.\nFlowering Season: April-October.\nDistribution: Throughout Europe, except Spitsbergen.\n\nThis is a common Species in the Netherlands.
