A laminar flow cabinet is a partially enclosed workspace designed to prevent contamination of sensitive materials like biological samples and semiconductor wafers. Air is drawn through a HEPA filter and blown in a smooth, laminar flow to create a protective barrier. A glue trap for long-tailed silverfish, is used to monitor the presence of these insects. The long-tailed silverfish (Ctenolepisma longicaudata, Zygentoma: Lepismatidae) has recently spread and proliferated across several European countries. While glue traps with cricket flour are effective for detecting their presence, they are not sufficient for controlling the infestation. These bugs have even invaded most Danish hospitals, creating concern due to their resilience and rapid spread.
