Malé, Maldives: Coast Guard vessel moored, T702 Iskandhar fast patrol boat - Coastal surveillance vessel under the National Security Service - Colombo class Ultra Fast Attack Craft (UFAC), built in Sri Lanka by Colombo Dockyard Limited, using and Israeli design, the boats are meant for a variety of naval missions from off-shore coastal patrol missions to high-speed, high-maneuver littoral warfare. The Maldivian Coast Guard is the naval or maritime arm of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). As the Maldives does not have a navy, the Coast Guard also functions as such.

Nouméa, South Province, New Caledonia: D'Entrecasteaux oceanic patrol ship - first of its class, named after the French navigator Antoine Bruny d'Entrecasteaux, an overseas support and assistance vessel (BSAOM), aka multi-mission vessel (B2M), designed to perform sovereignty, law enforcement and logistics missions - developed and produced by Kership, built at the Piriou shipyard in Concarneau. The d'Entrecasteaux class vessels can be armed with two 12.7x99 mm (.50 cal.) machine guns.

This historic boat was a crucial part of WWII as it has seen not one but two wars before retiring. Preserved as a museum you can walk through history and learn all about Coast Guard history. The staff is truly amazing and the ship is a non profit so they cannot publicly advertise for business. But if your in the Key West area, this was my favorite museum and I would definitely do it again if I ever went back to Key West!
