Monument to the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment.  The 54th Regiment was one of the first official black units in the United States during the Civil War.  The monument, constructed 1884–1898 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens on the Boston Common, is part of the Boston Black Heritage Trail.

Cottenham, England, UK - December 30, 2013: Statue in the village of Cottenham, Cambridgeshire, England, UK, dedicated to the memory of the men of Cottenham who died in World War I and World War II.  Portland Stone memorial consisting of a large pediment and pedestal with sunken panels on each side which are engraved with dedicatory inscriptions in memory of the men of Cottenham who dies in World War I and World War II. On the pedestal stands a carved Soldier in field service order with helmet, gas mask & pack. He stands in mourning with his head bowed and rifle reversed. Cape St. Mary's, Nova Scotia, Canada - February 26, 2022: The Lost at Sea monument was unveiled in 2018 in commemoration of those who have perished at sea from Clare County in Southwestern Nova Scotia over the past 250 years.  The area is steeped in Acadian history and culture and it's connection to the sea. The French speaking region known as the French Shore is still an active commercial fishing and seafaring community.
The Knox County Courthouse and Civil War Memorial in downtown Vincennes, Indiana is illumniated by the sunrise. The monument was erected in 1914, the courthouse was built in 1876.
