Barga is one of the most interesting villages in the Garfagnana, in the province of Lucca. You will find a unique atmosphere and beautiful surroundings to discover.\nLocated in the heart of Garfagnana, in the province of Lucca, little Barga amazes with its simple beauty. It is a town of just under 10,000 inhabitants, to be discovered slowly step by step; it is no coincidence that it is part of the Cittaslow circuit, which among other things has the commitment to improve the quality of life of inhabitants and visitors. But Barga's awards don't end there: it is also part of the club of the most beautiful villages in Italy, and at the same time it is the orange flag of the Italian Touring Club. This is why, during a trip to Tuscany, you really cannot avoid visiting Barga. Certainly its position at the northern end of the region, almost on the border with Emilia Romagna, perhaps has not helped it to receive the tourist success it deserves, but give it a chance and you will never want to go back. Furthermore, Barga is also a perfect starting point for discovering the Garfagnana, a historical region contained within the province of Lucca, which develops inland between hills and mountains. Cool climates all year round, breathtaking views and villages intact for centuries: choose Barga as a base for sleeping, and then travel by car on a day trip. You will discover an area off the beaten track but very beautiful and fascinating, where art, culture and traditions come together in a unique mix.
