Douglas, Isle of Man: Tynwald Court building - the legislature of the Isle of Man - the Manx parliament consists of two chambers, the directly elected House of Keys and the indirectly chosen Legislative Council. Legislative Buildings at the intersection of Finch Road and Prospect Hill. The Isle of Man is a self-governing British Crown Dependency, it has its own parliament and laws, while the UK handles defense and international relations. It is a quasi-independent island with close ties to the British Crown.
