Cactus Algae or Calcareous Green Seaweed Halimeda tuna occurs on volcanic rocks at shallow intertidal to subtidal depths. Halimeda tuna is characterized by the formation of stems up to 20 cm high, formed by fragments in the form of kidney-shaped and flat discs up to 2.5 cm in diameter, linked together. The fragments are thicker at their ends and generally present calcareous incrustations. The max. size of a fragment is 25mm, a perfect reference for the size of the juvenile Filefish who probably is mimicking a fragment of Halimeda tuna. \nLembeh Strait, Indonesia \n1°28'30.396 N 125°15'1.92 E at 17m depth
