Roeros  is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway and also the mining town .\nThe modern-day inhabitants of Røros still work and live in the characteristic 17th and 18th century buildings which led to its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. Røros has about 80 wooden houses, most of them standing around courtyards. Many retain their dark pitch-log facades, giving the town a medieval appearance.

Røros came into existence in 1644, after the first copper discovery in the area. Over the years, it became one of the most important mining towns in Norway. The people of Røros have preserved the town’s original charm, with houses dating back to the 1700s and 1800s, as well as the surrounding cultural landscape.

Nuuk / Godthåb, Sermersooq, Greenland: teachers' seminary of Greenland (Grønlands Seminarium / Ilinniarfissuaq), the oldest educational institution in Greenland - the building is a symbol of Nuuk and is featured in the city's flag and coat of arms (together with the Sermitsiaq mountain). The current building with its Nordic-inspired architecture was completed in 1907. At present the The seminary offers both central teacher training and decentralized teacher training as well as a number of continuing education courses for primary school teachers. Located on Aqqaluks Plads in the colonial harbour district.

Nuuk / Godthåb, Sermersooq, Greenland:  The Old Hospital (Det Gamle Sygehus) in the old town (Qaanniviit street). Inaugurated in 1933 and was in used a hospital until 1967, when it was converted into a nursing home. In the past Greenlandic buildings were color coded, healthcare buildings were yellow.

The place is an UNESCO heritage site due to the remains of the old Norsemen settlement, Gadar which where abandoned for unknown reasons in the beginning of the 15th century
