Stonehenge - Cornwall (UK) - Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England, two miles (3 km) west of Amesbury. It consists of an outer ring of vertical sarsen standing stones, each around 13 feet (4.0 m) high, seven feet (2.1 m) wide, and weighing around 25 tons, topped by connecting horizontal lintel stones. Inside is a ring of smaller bluestones.

The large standing sarsens (two with shaped lintels called the Trilithons) of Stonehenge, on a clear sunny day on the grassland of the Salisbury Planes in Southern England. Stonehenge were constructed during the Neolithic time around 3700 BC, with various changes and further modifications made over the next 2000 years. It is the most sophisticated prehistoric stone circle in the world. It contains two stone types, from which the smaller blue stones were transported about 240km from Wales.
