Commercial signs outside Grade II listed Royal Hall on Ripon Road at Harrogate in North Yorkshire, England. The theatre building opened in 1903 in the Edwardian style. It was reopened in 2008 by the then Prince Charles.
A park bandstand, early on a frosty, slightly misty, winter morning with the sun rising behind the old bandstand in Beckenham Recreation Ground in Beckenham, Kent (South East London). Thought to be the only one of its kind still in existence, the bandstand is Grade II listed but is falling into disrepair; it is hoped that it will be restored to its Edwardian splendour in due course. The bandstand was where David Bowie (who lived in Beckenham at the time and who started his career in the town) performed at a free festival which he compèred and helped to organise in 1969. It is locally known as the “Bowie Bandstand”.
