Os is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county, Norway. It was located in the Midhordland region, just south of Norway's second-largest city, Bergen. Due to its proximity to Bergen, Os experienced strong population growth. The administrative centre of Os was the village of Osøyro.

I had been using a beginner's camera, I had bought at a flea market. When I got my first professional SLR, I couldn't wait to try it out. The excitement of something new made me get out of my car halfway and take a picture of this beautiful view.

It was intended as a headquarters for the leadership of SiPo and Sicherheitsdienst (SD), where Heinrich Fehlis was commander (BdSuSD), but in February 1945 he moved his headquarters to Furulund in west Oslo, while SiPo's commander remained at Victoria Terrace.
