Seattle, King County, Washington state, United States: Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce building - Completed in 1924 to a design by Harlan Thomas, inspired in medieval Italian churches - the pedimented façade is divided into three parts enframed by pilasters; a central bay is flanked by blind arched bays to each side. The façade is capped by rake trim with gable end returns. A Lombardic-inspired frieze runs above a decorative blind arcaded corbel table, with foliage patterns. The central entry bay of the façade includes three arched windows located above a frieze panel with Romanesque arches within a blind arcade. A central rosette window is located within the central blind arch. Columbia Street, Central Business District.

The tomb of Thomas Guy, the founder of Guy’s Hospital at London Bridge in South East London. The tomb is positioned just inside the inner door of Guy’s Hospital chapel. Thomas Guy (1644-1724) was an English merchant and politician who had become a governor of St Thomas’ Hospital in 1704. Being a considerable donor to the hospital and also extremely wealthy, he decided to build a new hospital “for incurables”. His tomb is marked by a life-size marble monument by John Bacon, which portrays Guy as a “living Samaritan” helping an invalid.

The Memorial Transept consists of a 60-foot-high (18 m) gothic vault above a marble floor, with black walnut paneling and stenciled walls, a large stained glass window over each of two exterior doors, and commemorating the 136 Harvard men who died fighting for the Union twenty-eight white tablets. Memorial Transept serves as a vestibule for Sanders Theatre.
