The town of Amber and the Amber Fort was built by Raja Alan Singh Meena 967 AD. Amber Fort is the main tourist attraction in Jaipur. The fort is located high on a hill and overlooks the Maota Lake, which is the main source of water for the Amber Fort. Amber Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2013.
