The Pasteur Institute (Institut Pasteur) is a French non-profit private foundation dedicated to the study of biology, micro-organisms, diseases, and vaccines. It is named after Louis Pasteur, who made some of the greatest breakthroughs in modern medicine at the time, including pasteurization and vaccines for anthrax and rabies. The institute was founded in 1887. For over a century, the Institut Pasteur has been at the forefront of the battle against infectious disease. Since 2020, the Pasteur Institute has been working on research into the vaccine against the Covid-19 coronavirus. Rome Italy - The Obelisk of Montecitorio or in Italian Obelisco de Montecitorio. Also known as Solare, one of several brought to Rome by the Roman emperors. It is made of ancient Egyptian, red granite and is the Obelisk of Psamtik II (595 to 589 BC) from Heliopolis, in Egypt. It is 71 feet in height or 111 feet including the base and the globe.
