Boston, Massachusetts, USA - May 14, 2023: View of bowsprit of USS Constitution, also known as Old Ironsides. The ship is a three-masted wooden-hulled heavy frigate of the United States Navy. She is the world's oldest ship still afloat. She was launched in 1797, one of six original frigates authorized for construction by the Naval Act of 1794. Constitution is most noted for her actions during the War of 1812 against the United Kingdom, when she captured numerous merchant ships and defeated five smaller British warships. Constitution was retired from active service in 1881 and served as a receiving ship until being designated a museum ship in 1907.

Named by President George Washington after the Constitution of the United States of America, she is the world's oldest floating commissioned naval vessel. She is berthed at Pier 1 of the former Charlestown Navy Yard, at one end of Boston's Freedom Trail.
Halifax, Canada - July 23, 2012: The Tall Ship HMS Bounty passing the Pride of Baltimore in Halifax during Tall Ships 2012 Parade of Sail. Over a dozen ships visited Halifax from July 19-23. Built for the 1962 film, Mutiny on the Bounty, this replica was constructed in Nova Scotia. This ship was also used in the filming of Pirates Of The Caribbean. On 29 October 2012, 16 members of the Nova Scotia built Bounty abandoned ship off the coast of North Carolina after getting caught in the high seas brought on by Hurricane Sandy. The ship sank.
