The King Edward VII Bridge is a railway bridge over the River Tyne linking Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead, in North East England, and is a Grade II listed structure.
Interior structure of metal bridge
19th century railway viaducts straddle the Bridgewater Canal Basin, where the Bridgewater and Rochdale canals meet.  The Bridgewater canal is described as the first great achievement of the canal age, but during the 20th century both canal and railway transport declined and the area became somewhat derelict.  In 1982 the area was designated as an urban heritage park, since when, Castlefield has undergone regeneration and is now an attractive and fashionable area.

The famous Rendsburg Hochbrücke is about  2,5 km in total and made of steel. It  leads over the Kiel Canal at Rendsburg, Schleswig-Holstein. The bridge was built in the years 1911 to 1913 according to a design by Friedrich Voss.
