The Paris Pantheon is a monumental building in the Latin Quarter of Paris, originally built as a church dedicated to Saint Genevieve, the patron saint of Paris. It was designed by Jacques-Germain Soufflot in the neoclassical style and completed in 1790. The Pantheon now serves as a mausoleum housing the remains of distinguished French individuals such as Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Victor Hugo, Émile Zola, and Marie Curie. Its distinctive dome and colonnaded facade are reminiscent of ancient Greek and Roman architecture, making it one of the most important landmarks in Paris.
Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe: Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul church, completed in 1817 to a design by the architect Nicolas Nassau - in the 1843 earthquake the building suffered substantial damage, the long reconstruction only completed in the 1870s  employed a metal structure made in mainland France by Maison Joly in Argenteuil, the church was a pioneer in the use of iron for religious buildings in the French colonies - Place Gourbeyre.
