John Barry Statue in Fall Color\nIndependence Hall, Philadelphia\nJohn Barry (March 25, 1745 – September 13, 1803) was an officer in the Continental Navy during the American Revolutionary War and later in the United States Navy.   This bronze statue of John Barry was sculpted by Samuel Murray (1869-1941) in 1907.

Joseph Hooker was an American Civil War general for the Union, chiefly remembered for his decisive defeat by Confederate General Robert E. Lee at the Battle of Chancellorsville in 1863.
