This is a 2-pounder anti-tank gun as employed by the British Army during World War 2. While it's small calibre meant it struggled to deal with heavy armour, its small size meant it was able to be dropped into an active warzone on a glider, to support airborne infantry. Here it is shown with a British Airborne Helmet and Denison smock draped over it.\n\nThis image was taken at an outdoor event over the weekend of 11th-13th August 2023, where reenactors, living historians, and members of the public can come to experience what life was like during the second world war, with live demonstrations, battle reenactments, and static displays from all over the world.
