Thousands of people traveled from all over Egypt and the Middle East to celebrate Mawlid Abu al-Hassan al-Shazly, which was interrupted for two years due to Covid-19. to the Valley of Humaithera which located  , 110 kilometers west of the city of Marsa Alam ,900 kilometers from cairo. \nAnd the followers come to the Mawlid in separate groups from different governorates in Egypt, using their own car or even their truck in a majestic scene, and then they set up tents and prepare the place for residence, as the temperature reaches about 45 degrees Celsius. But this year is considered the most difficult in terms of the high temperature and the continuous power outages.\nAbu al-Hassan al-Shazly (1196 AD - 1258 AD) was born to a rich family in Morocco, and as a young man he was known for his ability to engage in arguments with the religions scholars of his time. He studied in Fes, Morocco, and then moved to Alexandria, Egypt, in 1244 AD, and later to Iraq and back to Morocco where he met his mentor Sheikh Abdel Salam Ibn Mashish. Finally, he died in the Valley of Humaithera, Egypt, on his way to pilgrimage in the city of Mecca in 1258.\n El-Shazly partisans follow his trace by climbing the mountain of Humaithara, Which is about 300 meters high, where they pray and plead to God.\nThousands of people also visit Abu al-Hassan al-Shazly  shrine. They gathered around the shrine and raised their hands to God saying their “Ibtehalat” or the Sufi prayers according to the group they belong to.
