Kumamoto Castle is a Japanese castle located in Kumamoto City and was built in 1607 by Kiyomasa Kato.\nIt is one of the three most famous castles in Japan.

Kumamoto Castle, built by Kato Kiyomasa, is located in Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture. It sustained serious damage in the 2016 earthquake, but the castle tower has been fully restored. Other facilities within the castle are also steadily being restored.
