High above the city of Edinburgh loom Salisbury Crags, part of a volcanic formation several million years old known as Arthurs Seat. The spot is popular with walkers and tourists.
Arthur's Seat is the highest peak in Edinburgh's Holyrood Park. It is actually an extinct volcano, older than Edinburgh itself. Formed some 350 million years ago.

Arthur's Seat is one of Edinburgh's most iconic landmarks and a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. It is the main peak of a group of hills located in Holyrood Park, a large, public park just east of the city center.
