They often change the color of their bodies to match their surroundings, for example being green when they are resting on grass. They have round suction cups on all of their fingertips, which makes them good at climbing trees. They also have the special skill of being able to stick to window glass.\nThey can change the color of their backs to match their surroundings and background.$

$The European tree frog (Hyla arborea) is a small tree frog. As traditionally defined, it was found throughout much of Europe, Asia and northern Africa, but based on molecular genetic and other data several populations formerly included in it are now recognized as separate species (for example, H. intermedia of Italy and nearby, H. molleri of the Iberian Peninsula, H. meridionalis of parts of southwestern Europe and northern Africa, and H. orientalis of parts of Eastern Europe, Turkey and the Black Sea and Caspian Sea regions), limiting the true European tree frog to Europe from France to Poland and Greece (source Wikipedia).\n\nMost of the common tree frog populations in the Netherlands occur on sandy soils in the southern and eastern part of the country, except for one population in the province of Zeeland.\n\nThe common tree frog is listed on the Red List as threatened. The Canyon Tree Frog (Hyla arenicolor) is a large tree frog that occurs primarily in riparian habitats, but also up to almost 10,000 feet of elevation in forested mountains. These frogs possess a fairly potent toxin that can irritate eyes and and mucous membrane.

The veined tree frog (Trachycephalus typhonius), or common milk frog, is a species of frog in the family Hylidae. This tree frog has very nice eyes. This frog is one of several other tree frogs in the family Hylidae that secrete a toxic substance from their skin that produces extreme irritation and pain when in contact with mucosal membrane surfaces.
