Chinese trumpet creeper flower (Campis grandiflora)
Campsis radicans, commonly called trumpet vine or trumpet creeper, is a dense, vigorous, multi-stemmed, deciduous, woody, clinging vine that attaches itself to structures and climbs by aerial rootlets. Clusters of red trumpet-shaped flowers appear throughout the summer (June to September). Flowers are followed by long, bean-like seed pods which split open when ripe, releasing numerous 2-winged seeds for dispersal by the wind.

Campsis Radicans, commonly known as trumpet vine or trumpet creeper, is a fast-growing, deciduous climbing plant native to the southeastern United States. It belongs to the Bignoniaceae family and is prized for its vibrant, trumpet-shaped flowers—typically orange, red, or yellow—that bloom in summer and attract hummingbirds and pollinators. Campsis can reach up to 10 meters (30 feet) tall, using aerial roots to cling to walls or trellises. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil but can become invasive if not properly managed. The two main species are Campsis radicans and Campsis grandiflora.
