$Grindelwald, Switzerland, Early October 2021. The newly constructed V-Bahn Cableway in Grindelwald, Switzerland, has two distinct elements to it - the Eiger Expressway (a totally new Cableway from Grindelwald to the Eiger Gletscher) together with a separate but also a new, faster Gondela Cable Car to cover the 6.5 Km ride to the Mannlichen above the Lauterbrunnen Valley. These four arresting and unique photos ware all taken from the Mannlichen Gondela. The clarity of the light, the long shadows and the bright green nature of the grass on the high Alps make this a photographers paradise. These stunningly beautiful and images clearly illustrate the enormous scale of the landscape, whilst at the same time show how it has been managed and controlled to maximise its productivity and at the same time enhance its appearance. The long shadows and the angle of the sun in early autumn accentuate the beauty of the green pastures that are so characteristic of the Swiss Alps with the pristine snow capped peaks of the Jungfrau Massif that form the trio of the famous Eiger, Monch & Jungfrau 4000+ metre mountains, amongst the highest in Europe.
