Lower Geyser Basin, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming USA: Jelly Geyser, located in the Fountain Paint Pot area of Yellowstone National Park's Lower Geyser Basin as part of the Fountain Group, is a fountain-type geyser erupting from one of the largest craters in the area, typically appearing as a calm blue pool between eruptions but noted for its orange, bacteria-lined edges due to thermophilic microorganisms. With an average temperature of 196.7°F (91.5°C), pH of 8.6, the geyser's activity stems from constrictions in its underground plumbing that trap steam, leading to intermittent bursts; eruption intervals range from 10 to 90 minutes or more, with durations of seconds to 2 minutes. Sometimes referred to as Jelly Spring due to its variable frequency, it has been influenced by past seismic events like the 1959 Hebgen Lake earthquake.

The Old Faithful Geyser in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
Old Faithful Geyser is one of the most famous geysers in the world, known for its regular eruptions. It was named in 1870 for its reliability in spewing hot water and steam at intervals of 60 to 110 minutes, reaching heights of 100 to 180 feet. Each eruption lasts about 1.5 to 5 minutes, discharging up to 8,400 gallons of water. Old Faithful is fueled by geothermal activity from the Yellowstone Caldera, a supervolcano, and has erupted more than a million times since the park's founding.
The Jet d'Eau is a large fountain in Geneva, Switzerland and is one of the city's most famous landmarks, being featured on the city's official tourism web site and on the official logo for Geneva's hosting of group stage matches at UEFA Euro 2008. Situated where Lake Geneva exits as the Rhône, it is visible throughout the city and from the air, even when flying over Geneva at an altitude of ten kilometres (33,000 ft).

Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA: Old Faithful is a cone geyser located in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, renowned for its relatively predictable eruption pattern that occurs approximately every 90 minutes, though intervals can range from 60 to 110 minutes depending on the duration of the previous eruption. The geyser shoots a column of boiling water to heights averaging 130-140 feet (40-43 meters), with eruptions lasting between 1.5 to 5 minutes and expelling 3,700 to 8,400 gallons (14,000 to 32,000 liters) of water. Named during the 1870 Washburn Expedition for its consistent activity, Old Faithful is powered by underground thermal features where superheated water under pressure periodically flashes to steam, creating the eruption cycle. As one of more than 500 geysers in Yellowstone—which contains over half of the world's geysers—Old Faithful has been erupting in its current pattern for hundreds of years, making it one of the park's most studied and visited thermal features, with its activity carefully monitored and predicted by the National Park Service based on the duration and strength of each eruption.
