Glossy ibis (Plegadis falcinellus)
The glossy ibis neck is reddish-brown and the body is a bronze-brown with a metallic iridescent sheen on the wings.
Once known as a breeding bird in Eastern Europe, the Glossy Ibis made a comeback in France in 2006. At first glance, the Glossy Ibis may appear black, but upon closer inspection, it is actually a rusty color with beautiful metallic green highlights. Its beak is long, downward-curved, and quite slender. Its long, blackish legs are perfectly adapted for walking in an aquatic environment.

Glossy ibis is the most widespread species. It has shiny metallic blue, green and purple colours on its wings which gives its name \
Glossy ibises undertake dispersal movements after breeding and are highly nomadic. The more northerly populations are fully migratory and travel on a broad front, for example across the Sahara Desert. Populations in temperate regions breed during the local spring, while tropical populations nest to coincide with the rainy season. Nesting is often in mixed-species colonies. When not nesting, flocks of over 100 individuals may occur on migration, and during the winter or dry seasons the species is usually found foraging in small flocks. Glossy ibises often roost communally at night in large flocks, with other species, occasionally in trees which can be some distance from wetland feeding areas.

Hadada Ibis.\nThe hadeda ibis (Bostrychia hagedash) is an ibis native to Sub-Saharan Africa. It is named for its loud three to four note calls uttered in flight especially in the mornings and evenings when they fly out or return to their roost trees. Although not as dependent on water as some ibises, they are found near wetlands and often live in close proximity to humans, foraging in cultivated land and gardens. A medium-sized ibis with stout legs and a typical down-curved bill, the wing coverts are iridescent with a green or purple sheen. They are non-migratory but are known to make nomadic movements in response to rain particularly during droughts. Their ranges in southern Africa have increased with an increase in tree cover and irrigation in human-altered habitats.

The White-Faced Ibis (Plegadis chihi) is a medium-sized wading bird whose breeding range includes the western United States south through Mexico, southeastern Brazil and Bolivia south to central Argentina and the coast of Chile. The winter range extends from southern California and Louisiana south to include the rest of their breeding range. This species breeds in colonies around saltwater and freshwater marshes, usually nesting in bulrushes, cattails, bushes or low trees. The nest is built from reeds. Its breeding range extends from the western United States south through Mexico, as well as from southeastern Brazil and southeastern Bolivia south to central Argentina, and along the coast of central Chile. The white-faced ibis is an overall iridescent bronze-brown color. There is a thin band of white feathers around its face, thus giving it the name white-faced. The bill is long and downward curving. It has red eyes and long red legs and feet. The curved bill is used to probe for a variety of organisms, including invertebrates such as insects, snails, leeches, crayfish and earthworms. The diet may also include vertebrates such as newts, fish and frogs. This white-faced ibis with its breeding plumage was photographed while standing on the bank of Walnut Canyon Lakes in Flagstaff, Arizona, USA.
