Siena Cathedral, located in the province of Siena in Tuscany, Italy. The city's inner city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, because it contains buildings dating back to the 13th and 14th century. In the city are also horse races twice a year on Piazza del Campo. The Roman Catholic cathedral was completed in 1263. An addition to the cathedral started construction in the 1300's, but it was halted by the Black Death, this addition was never finished.

Inside, the Sienese cathedral preserves countless artistic masterpieces created by Nicola Pisano and his son Giovanni, Michelangelo Buonarroti, the Pinturicchio, Donatello, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Duccio di Buoninsegna, Simone Martini. Siena is one of the most beautiful Italian cities of art, in the heart of the Tuscan hills, famous for its immense artistic and historical heritage and for the Palio, where the seventeen old villages of the city compete every year in Piazza del Campo in one of the oldest horse racing in the world.
