Kranji, Singapore - March 18, 2011: Kranji War Memorial and Cemetery. The image shows the the cemetery which contains the graves of over 4000 allied servicemen lost in WW2. The memorial (seen at the top of the hill),  is designed to represent land, sea and air forces, comprising columns (army), a wing (airforce) and the periscope of a submarine (navy). The cemetery is located close to Kranji Village in northern Singapore.

Tomb of Japanese soldiers who died in the World war II .\nThis cemetery was established to honor Commonwealth soldiers and others who died in World War II. The cemetery was created by the British Army, and there were originally about 400 burials. Graves have since been transferred to this cemetery from the Lushai Hills (Assam) and other isolated sites, and from Chittagong Civil Cemetery; Chandragona Baptist Mission Cemetery; Chiringa Military Cemetery; Cox's Bazar New Military and Civil (Muhammadan) Cemeteries; Chittagong (Panchalaish) Burial Ground; Dacca Military Cemetery; Demagiri Cemetery; Dhuapolong Muslim Burial Ground; Dhuapolong Christian Military Cemetery; Dohazari Military and R.A.F. Cemeteries; Jessore Protestant Cemetery; Khulna Cemetery; Khurushkul Island Christian and Muhammadan Cemeteries; Lungleh Cemetery (Assam); Nawapara Cemetery (Assam); Patiya Military Cemetery, Rangamati Cemetery; Tejgaon Roman Catholic Cemetery; Tumru Ghat Military Cemetery and Tumru M.D.S. Groesbeek, Netherlands – oktober 30, 2022\n\nCanadian War Cemetery Groesbeek is the cemetery where 2619 mainly Canadian soldiers are buried who fell in the Second World War. The soldiers buried here have not all died in fighting in the Netherlands, but also in Germany. The Allies did not want their soldiers buried in a hostile country.\n\nThe war cemetery is located north of Groesbeek in the Dutch municipality of Berg en Dal and is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

Sentosa, Singapore - March 23, 2011: Machine Gun Post Memorial, Sentosa. The image shows a preserved WW2 machine gun post on Pelewan beach on Sentosa Island. During the war it was used for observation and coastal defence. Also in the picture are two visitors to the beach which is popular with local people and tourists. Two modern lookout towers can be seen in the background which allow visitors to view the island and the Straits of Singapore.
