Native to the the Caribbean, it inhabits a variety of environments, including forests, plantations, and urban areas. This anole is medium-sized, with males reaching lengths of up to 10 cm (excluding the tail), and it displays sexual dimorphism, with males being larger and more vividly colored. Typically, males have green or brown bodies with subtle markings and an orange-yellow dewlap used for territorial displays and mating. Anolis trinitatis is arboreal, diurnal, and primarily insectivorous, feeding on a diet of insects and other small invertebrates. It is an adaptable species, thriving in both natural and human-altered habitats, though it faces potential threats from habitat destruction and invasive species.
