Mantis is a type of mantis originating from the island of Borneo. It has a unique body shape and is colored like dried leaves to disguise itself for prey.

Praying mantises (Mantodea) - an order of insects that are most abundant in the tropical and subtropical zones. They owe their name to their position resembling a person with their hands folded in prayer. There is a protected common mantis (Mantis religiosa) in southern Poland
