Blue Spotted Sea Urchin Astropyga radiata occurs in the tropical Indo-Pacific Ocean from the African coast to Australia and to Hawaii in a depth range from 0 to 60m, usually 10 to 30m, max. test diameter 20cm. \nThe species is often found in lagoons and bays where the substrate is sand, shingle or coral rubble. Sometimes many urchins collect together in one locality in dense aggregations. \nAstropyga radiata is mostly nocturnal and feeds by grazing on algae. The mouth is at the centre of the oral (under) surface where there are five powerful teeth.\nThis urchin is light sensitive and can angle its spines towards an approaching threatening object, but rather than centralized eyes, Astropyga radiata has a distributed sensory system. Funny thing is that many people think the thing in the middle is the eyeball, but it is the rectum. \nThe sexes are separate in Astropyga radiata. Eggs and sperm are liberated into the water column. After fertilisation, the larvae are planktonic and develop through several stages before settling on the seabed. \nLembeh Strait, Indonesia \n1°27'13.104 N 125°14'14.634 E at 12m depth

Tube Anemone Cerianthus filiformis is a species of marine Cnidaria in the family Cerianthidae.\nThe species is widespread throughout the tropical waters of the Indo- West Pacific in a depth range from shallow to 100m, has a stretched and muscularised body which can reach 35 cm.\nCerianthus filiformis lives in a mucous tube which is sunk in the soft substrate The animal shows only its tentacles to feed, usually at night time. The species feeds on small planktonic organisms, tiny crustaceans, larval forms, and other minute organisms drifting in the water column. The long, slender tentacles of Cerianthus filiformis are equipped with cnidocytes (stinging cells) that help capture prey. \nLembeh Strait, North Sulawesi, Indonesia \n1°27'34.836 N 125°13'17.046 E at 8m depth by night
