Flowers yellow, rarely orange, 4-8cm, solitary on long stalks. Capsule elliptical, hairless, with a short style at the apex.\nHabitat: Moist shaded places, woodland, hedge banks, old walls, stream sides and rocky places, to 2000m.\nFlowering Season: June-august.\nDistribution: Britain, Ireland W France and the Iberian Peninsula; naturalized in Holland and Germany.
