$The world's oldest national park, Yellowstone is a U.S. national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site, straddling three states: northwest Wyoming (96% of its surface), and marginally southeast Idaho (bordering Caribou-Targhee National Forest) and southwest Montana (adjacent to Gallatin National Forest). \nBelonging to the “supervolcano” category, with eruptions far exceeding those of “classic” volcanoes, the Yellowstone caldera is famous for its geothermal phenomena; it contains two-thirds of the planet's geysers and numerous hot springs. \nThe park is also home to many large mammals, including black bears, grizzly bears, coyotes, wolves, moose, deer and wild herds of bison and elk.$
