In Balinese Hinduism, Nyatur Desa is a sacred ritual performed in various villages, such as Desa Pakraman Ipah in Karangasem and Cau Belayu in Tabanan. This ceremony involves parading sacred effigies (prelingga), like Barong and Rangda, around the village to purify the area and invoke protection from negative energies. It's part of a broader tradition called Mecangcang, where these effigies are enshrined for 42 days in a temporary shrine outside the main temple. During the Nyatur ritual, offerings such as segehan agung and animal sacrifices are made to deities like Ida Bhatari Durga, seeking harmony and balance in the universe.

You'll find lots of Balinese offerings everywhere while you walk down streets in Bali. They are made from coconut leaves and filled with colorful flowers and fruits.  You might see notes in some of them. I saw almost everybody made small offerings everyday and left them on the street or in front of houses. These are ritual and very religious things.
