Onigiri (Omusubi) isn't as famous as Sushi or Ramen but it is a soul food in Japan. It's gotten global recognition recently and International travellers want to try it when they are in Japan. The rice balls are stuffed with a variety of fillings and typically wrapped in seaweed but recent Onigiri goes beyond that. Mixed rice like clam cooked rice or char siu fried rice are formed into a triangle shape to make it Onigiri. I tried various Onigiri. \nClassic fillings : Pickled plum, Simple salt, Kombu (Kelp), salmon\nGourmet : Shrimp Tempura, Fried chicken

Istanbul, Turkey: Lokum, also known as Turkish delight, is a soft, gel-like confection traditionally made from sugar, water, and starch. Originating in Turkey during the Ottoman Empire, it comes in a variety of flavors such as rosewater, lemon, and pomegranate, and is often dusted with powdered sugar or coconut flakes. Some varieties contain nuts like pistachios or walnuts, while others may be flavored with spices. Lokum is enjoyed as a sweet treat with tea or coffee, and its chewy texture and delicate flavors make it a popular confection in Turkey and beyond.
